Show at Thayer Nursery
I am a vendor at the Holiday Boutique this Sunday from 10am-4pm. I am offering Holiday cards and All Occasion cards, many of which are suitable for framing. I am also offering jewlery using my pressed flowers in resin.
Be sure to stop by Phylllis Flora's table. I'm sure you'll find great Christmas gifts. Phyllis has a lovely store in Canton called Pflors Beads.
Hope to see you there.

Class
Mass Hort in conjunction with the Wellesley Free Library's Wellesley Reads Together program presents an evening of demonstrations on creating holiday gifts. The event will feature instructions and samples. Please note the event will be held at the Wellesley Free LIbrary. http://www.wellesleyreadstogether.org/Home.aspx
I will be conducting a 20 min. class on how to press flowers and make cards. With the holidays coming up it would be fun to make your own gifts. Hope to see you there.

Knockout Rose
Knockout roses are single petal rose. They are disease resistant. I used my microwave press to dry the roses. I found that with my microwave I had to dry in 30 second increments. Always remember to put a cup of water on top of the microwave press so that your botanicals won't burn. You must check the drying process every 30 sec. Working with roses is difficult. The petals can come apart and break easily for that reason this piece took longer than normal.

zen cards
Pink Catahoula is so awesome. Roberta is doing a great job of making prints of my origional work.
My Zen cards are based on Ikebana which in Japanese means giving life to flowers...arranging flowers. They are difficult to make as the flowers and fern stems are fragile and the simple design turned out not to be so simple. I started drying the Stock (the pink flower) in a wood press for a week then finished drying them in my microwave press.
Roberta will be making prints of these cards and they will be matted in white.
Print only.
